Robert Whittaker is excited for Shadow of the Erdtree
In a recent podcast on MMArcade, Robert Whittaker discussed with host, Jonny Roses, their shared love of video games. Many fans had questions for Whittaker including about the different games he’s playing and what he’s excited about.
Jonny Roses asked Whittaker about Baldur’s Gate 3 and the fact that the game is getting official mod support. The UFC fighter mentioned that he does not like mods in Baldur’s Gate 3. He also mentioned that the only games he mods are Rimworld and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
The former UFC Champion mentioned Elden Ring on his own while discussing Dragon’s Dogma. Whittaker said, “Man, I’m frothing on that as well, like so much,”. He followed it up with discussions of the size of the map in the DLC. Whittaker even mentions the new bosses and hopes that they are on the same level as Malenia.
The Reaper is still confused about whether he should create a new character after the release of the expansion, or should he create a new character right now and then level them up to a certain point. He also directed this question to the audience and said he has been itching to make a new character with a different playstyle.
Robert Whittaker also showed massive interest in the lore behind Elden Ring and said he “read up on it”. He also mentions that he liked the fact that Elden Ring made its lore more understandable as compared to Dark Souls.
The 33-year-old was clearly excited while talking about Shadow of the Erdtree and Jonny and the fans seem to resonate with him in the comments.

He had some insights for the developers over fixing the melee combat a bit since magic is far more useful in the endgame and fairly praised the base-building survival aspects of the game a lot.
The former UFC Champion also said that he played Vagrus, and mentioned it was “hard as hell” and he got “sick” of the slow progression of the game and will return to Rimworld. Jonny Roses mentions that he has been playing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and how it has a dwindling player base. Roses also talks about Helldivers 2 and has a lot of praise for it.
