As for DK Metcalf, he’s not much behind Hill in terms of speed. The Seahawks star reportedly has a great 40-yard dash time of 4.33 seconds with a speed of 22.64mph. Though Metcalf’s speed is less than that of Tyreek Hill, he holds a big record. Reports suggest that Metcalf’s 40-yard dash time is the fastest for any player in NFL history, weighing over 225 lb.
As for Hill, the 29-year-old is among the fastest wide receivers in the league. However, he’s not the fastest of all the players. It’s worth noting that Kansas City Chiefs WR John Ross has the fastest 40-yard dash time of 4.22 seconds. He made that record in 2017 and has been at the top since then. However, Hill and Metcalf are both quite close to 28-year-old Ross.
A look at DK Metcalf and Tyreek Hill’s NFL career
Tyreek Hill has been interested in football since he was a kid, but he played track and field in high school. After that, he joined Garden City Community College in 2012 and played football for 2 years there. Hill then one year each for Oklahoma State University and the University of West Alabama. Throughout his college career, he got 128 receptions and 15 TDs for 1,995 receiving yards.
After impressing everyone in college, Tyreek Hill entered the NFL in 2016. The Chiefs selected him as their 165th pick in the 5th round of the NFL Draft. Throughout his 8-year career in the league, Hill has been to the Pro Bowl 7 times and has 1 Super Bowl. Throughout his career, he has got 686 receptions and 73 TDs for 9,664 receiving yards.
As for DK Metcalf, he began playing football at Oxford High School. He then joined the University of Mississippi and played for the Ole Miss Rebels. Throughout his 3 years with the team, Metcalf got 67 receptions and 14 TDs for 1,228 receiving yards.
After college, Metcalf made his NFL debut in 2019 with the Seahawks. The team selected him as their 64th pick in the 2nd round of the NFL draft. The talented WR has been to the Pro Bowl once in his 5-year NFL career till now. He has got 355 receptions and 41 TDs for 5,030 receiving yards till now.
