Bryan Danielson is a name that has been at its peak of popularity for well over a decade now. Whether it’s his WWE career or his ongoing run with AEW, The American Dragon has enjoyed success throughout his pro wrestling journey.
While he saw the peak of fans’ involvement during his WWE stint, the floundering ticket sales of All Elite Wrestling aren’t what he would have expected to experience. To make things even worse, Bryan recently suffered an injury, and the latest update on the same has made things even more unpleasant.
The 42-year-old in-ring star broke his orbital bone during this week’s Dynamite episode, when he teamed up with Claudio Castagnoli to take on Kazuchika Okada and Orange Cassidy. It was during this match that the fan-favorite performer suffered an orbital bone injury.

Initially, a lot of people speculated that his injury might be part of a storyline. But now it has been confirmed to be a legitimate injury. The 5-foot-10 has a long history of injuries in his career; this is another addition to that list.
It’s important to note that he has previously announced that he’ll soon bid goodbye to his role as a full-time performer. So, it remains to be seen how he comes back from this huge setback. Will this injury prove to be the reason for an early end to his pro wrestling career? Only the future holds the answer to this.
How long will Bryan Danielson take to recover from his injury?
As it has been confirmed that Danielson‘s injury is legitimate, fans have been really concerned about his well-being. A part of the audience is trying to figure out if he can ever wrestle. On the contrary, others are wondering how long it will take to make his return to in-ring competition.
To answer both of these questions, it has been revealed that the 42-year-old is set to undergo surgery. After the surgery, Bryan will remain away from the industry for months. While the time frame can vary, for now it has been claimed that he will be out of action until the end of 2023.

As per this update, the AEW star will remain away from competition for at least two months. But it’s possible that it takes him more time to get 100% fit. Will he make his comeback in early 2024, or will we have to wait further? Whenever he makes his return, it’s sure that the fans will give him a grand reception.
