The tennis season has come to an end, but Serbian star Novak Djokovic is still a busy man. While tennis is Novak’s true passion, he also loves a variety of sports, including soccer. Recently, the two worlds collided, as Djokovic surprised his countryman, Dusan Vlahovic, with a visit to the locker room.
Vlahovic is one of the most confident players on the Juventus squad. However, his confidence faltered in the face of Djokovic, who showed up to meet him in person. Novak took the opportunity to wish his compatriots well before they joined the Serbian national team. The Serbian national soccer team eventually managed to qualify for the European Championships, which will be held in Germany next year.
Dusan had never met the tennis legend before, so naturally he was nervous. Following the meeting, the soccer player confessed that he was embarrassed.

“I also told him that the first time I was in front of someone like that, I got nervous and was somehow a little more shy to talk. That is really greatness and when you are next to him you can feel that greatness, first of all as a person and what kind of advice he has and how he treats people. On the field I have nothing to say, he speaks for himself, there is the best in the world and in my opinion the best athlete of all time in all sports,” said Dusan (via Sportal).
Juventus is based in Turin, and Djokovic was in the city for the Nitto ATP Finals. The Serb took on the local player, Jannik Sinner, and defeated him 6-3, 6-3, to clinch the trophy.
Prior to the tournament, the Juventus squad had weighed in on the winner of the year-end championship too. Of course, Novak was the favorite among the soccer players. He proved them right on Sunday night when he won the trophy for a record seventh time.
Novak Djokovic watched Juventus play
The 24-time Grand Slam champion has had a very hectic year. He has won trophies and broken records left and right this year. Therefore, it is not surprising that he needed a little break prior to the commencement of the ATP Finals.
Djokovic showed up to watch a Serie A match as Juventus took on Cagliari. The home team won the clash 2-1, with goals from Gleison Bremer and Daniele Rugani, as Djokovic looked on.
