In the aftermath of their separation, various reports emerged that left Pique and Shakira in vulnerable positions. Although most people would think that the dust should have settled by now, apparently that’s not the case. Latest reports have emerged which indicate how troublesome Shakira and Pique’s relationship was.
According to CANAL RCN, Shakira’s life with Gerard Pique was nothing less than living in “hell.” Spanish journalists Laura Fa and Lorena Vázquez made some striking revelations during the show ‘Las Mamarazzis’. One of them said, “What is clear to us is that Shakira was bored like an oyster here in Barcelona. Her life must be hell and the only thing holding her back was her love for her partner.”
“It is true that she went to watch basketball and surfed, but what we have seen in Miami is that she is dedicating herself to it.” Since moving to Miami, she has been frequently seen enjoying herself at various events such as a Formula 1 race, the NBA Eastern Conference Finals, or showing off her remarkable surfing skills. As per the reports, the Colombian star couldn’t indulge in such activities while she was with Pique.
The journalists further claimed, “She had to adapt here to Gerard’s environment, with which she had no good relationship.” It has also been alleged that the Hips Don’t Lie singer had no friends of her own in Barcelona and she couldn’t gel with Pique’s circle. Currently, Shakira is allegedly free from the shackles as she is trying to settle into her new life in Miami.
Is Shakira dating NBA star Jimmy Butler?
Not only is Shakira looking to move on from her past life but she is also reportedly dating again. According to MARCA, Shakira is rumored to be dating the Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler. The reports have emerged following Shakira’s appearance at the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. Moreover, one of her sons recently dressed up as Jimmy Butler for Halloween.

Although Jimmy Butler isn’t the only star who has been linked with Shakira since her move to Miami. Over the past few weeks, the Colombian songwriter has been linked with Hollywood star Tom Cruise and F1 legend Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton was pictured alongside Shakira during the recent Miami GP where Tom Cruise was also present.

Shakira, however, has reportedly indicated to Tom Cruise that she isn’t interested in him. Despite being allegedly flattered, she has no romantic interests in the Jerry Maguire star. Her friend Emilio Martinez also denied the rumors and stated that despite Shakira knowing Tom Cruise for a long time, she is currently focused on her family.
