The dust between Shakira and Gerard Pique has almost settled down as Shakira recently bid farewell to Europe. The Colombian singer recently left Barcelona for her new life in Florida along with her children. Meanwhile, Pique continues to live his life in Barcelona. However, a recent revelation regarding the Shakira-Gerard Pique saga has once again fuelled controversy in their life.
After a long legal battle for child custody rights, it was ruled that Shakira would have custody of their children, Sasha and Milan. Pique, albeit, would continue to have child visitation agreements. However, recent reports from Music Mundial have provided a lot of new insights and astonishing details about Pique and Shakira’s child visitation agreements.
Gerard Pique has managed to extort a great deal from Shakira from this court ruling. As per the reports, the Colombian singer has to legally pay for Pique’s flight tickets and lodging every time the former Barcelona defender chooses to visit his children. However, she has cleverly inserted one particular clause in the agreement which clearly shows her hatred towards Pique’s new girlfriend.
According to sources, Pique can meet with his children as long as he doesn’t bring his girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. It was Pique’s infidelity with Clara Chia that caused his breakup with Shakira. Thus, it’s understandable why the Waka Waka singer has decided to insert this particular clause.
Shakira reprimands journalists for harassing her children
During this ongoing scandal, there has been a lot of media attention on the now-estranged couple. However, Shakira fears that this media attention will follow her to the US and will adversely affect her children. In light of this, the Hips Don’t Lie singer has recently called out the journalists and the media personnel and reprimanded them for harassing her children.

She criticized the journalists for routinely following and pestering her children. The Grammy-winning singer also pointed out that her children were being followed by journalists in front of their schools. She stated that both of her children are under the age of 10 and that they need to grow up in a “safe and tranquil” environment. Thus, she put up this statement on her social media account, asking the journalists to respect her privacy.
