EA Sports FC 24 has recently revealed the latest updates for the game’s newest edition of Ultimate Team. This time they have included female footballer Carson Pickett. She is the first-ever soccer star inducted into the franchises with a history of a limb difference.
Pickett plays for the NWSL side Racing Louisville FC. She was born on September 15, 1993. Although she was born without her left forearm and hand, this hasn’t stopped her from becoming one of the most well-known soccer players with a limb difference. So far in her career, the player has appeared in 141 matches and has scored 6 goals. This tally includes the 2 two international appearances he made last year for the USWNT.
The star has continued to inspire those with disabilities in and out of sport, using her status as a professional soccer star to drive awareness. In 2020, Pickett and Nike together developed the Phantom GT Academy FlyEase boots. It was a model designed especially for players with disabilities, which had wraparound closure and fold-down heels.

EA FC24 has recently added USWNT’s Carson Pickett to the franchise. The player has become the first athlete to get inducted into the franchise with a limb difference.

EA FC24, although has put certain restrictions on the player in the game as well. The player is reportedly blocked from playing as a goalkeeper and also can’t take a throw-in for her team.

One fan wrote, “Can’t buy her on the market either. She costs an arm and a leg.” Another fan commented, “It’s a good thing she can’t go in goal because she wouldn’t be able to Pickett out of the net.” A third fan mocked the USWNT star by saying, “Imma put her in goal just for the fun of it.”
EA FC24 is set to be released on Friday, September 29, 2023, as officially announced by EA Sports. It will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC at launch.
