EA Sports has become one of the world’s largest game-developing organizations and huge credit for that goes to the success of the FIFA games. However, the biggest twist this year is that the game will be called EA Sports FC from now onward. This will mark the end of a special era, one that started in 1994.
Despite losing FIFA’s license, EA has planned to bring the legacy forward, by keeping the same traditions that have won billions of hearts over the years. Although there have been many complaints from fans, the game has still generated billions of dollars in revenue. The main reason for that is the craze that fans have for the beautiful game, and another is that there arguably isn’t a better soccer video game on the market.
FIFA 23, was released in September 2023, as per EA’s norms. In just a couple of months, EA FC 24 will be released, and the takeover of the e-sports platform will be unlike any other. There have been some questions raised over the game’s details, mainly because of how there will be a change in the sponsorship.
EAFC 24 release date and price
In April, EA disclosed that the game will be called ‘EA FC 24,’ and will be released in September. The logo was recently leaked, by a leaker who goes by the name @PlayStationSize. The logo certainly is a different feel from what fans have been used to for almost the last three decades.
EA FC 24 will be available across all platforms. To be specific, cross-play will be supported in the upcoming game. Gamers who own a PlayStation 5, for example, will only be able to play with those who own a PlayStation 5, or the newer generation consoles, including the Xbox Series and PC.
This feature is expected to be available, mainly because of its availability in FIFA 23 as well. At the time, EA was one of the first developers to implement cross-play options in the latest generation consoles.
In FIFA 23, cross-play was available across specific modes only. They were FUT Division Rivals, FUT Champions, FUT Online Friendlies, Online Seasons, Online Friendlies, and a few more. There is a strong possibility that this will be the case for EA FC 24 as well.
Apart from the name of the game, there haven’t been many details. Rumors say that EA is planning some major changes to Career Mode, Ultimate Team, and a few other modes. However, gamers have called for bug fixes more than anything, especially in UT. The gameplay has taken a big hit over the years, with online players facing some major troubles at times. Moreover, there have been many to abuse simple skill moves and get past an opponent’s defense with ease.
Mark your calendars! Rumored EA Sports FC 24 dates:
Reveal: July 13
Closed Beta: August
Early Access: September 22
Release Date: September 29 pic.twitter.com/RAJrKIQhgo— EA Sports FC 24 News (@FC24News) July 7, 2023
Although this does rely on the individual’s ability to control their defense, FIFA does have the issue of a simple tactic eventually becoming overpowered. In addition to that, claim that EA could add more features to the game, including some to the Career Mode. We have witnessed the game being similar to the previous year for quite some time now, but the change in licensing could lead EA to make a change and bring about something new.
With that said, more updates are set to release in the coming weeks. The release date has been rumored to be September 29, but that hasn’t been confirmed by anyone from EA’s side. Similarly, the price of the game has not been revealed as well, but we can expect it to be somewhere around the range of $69-$109.
Who will be EA FC 24’s cover athlete?
Last year, EA brought in the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Sam Kerr to be on the cover page of FIFA 23. These two forwards were at the top of their game at the time, but there could be a huge change this year. Some sources claimed that Manchester City star Erling Haaland could have been on the cover of EA FC 24. It isn’t a huge surprise considering all the accolades he has won for the club this year.
Every footballer dreams of this.

The Norwegian striker just led The Citizens to win the treble. The Premier League club are only the second-ever English team to do so in soccer history. There has been a rivalry building up between Mbappe and Haaland, and this could just be the beginning to something special. It will be the first time for City’s striker on the front page, and it’ll be interesting to see if he catches Mbappe.
That’s not all, the trailer for the game has been released as well. Although it does look a tad bit more realistic than last year, there is fear among the soccer fanbase that they might receive the same product once again, just through another channel.
