With the Super Bowl just around the corner, fans are still reeling from Shakira and J. Lo’s halftime performances back in 2020.

Colombian singer Shakira and American singer Jennifer Lopez performed in the Super Bowl LIV halftime show in 2020. The pair performed a few of their all-time-hit songs such as Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie, and Lopez’s I’m Real. The 14-minute performance of the two Latina artists captivated each and everyone present there in the stadium.

Shakira’s life since Super Bowl LIV

It’s fair to say that since her performance at the Super Bowl LIV in 2020, Shakira’s life has been a roller coaster ride. Last year, Shakira announced the separation from her ex-boyfriend, Gerard Pique, after being together for more than a decade. As per reports, the former Barcelona defender’s adultery was the reason for the separation of the couple.

After the breakup, Shakira had to go through a disputed child custody battle against Pique, which she ultimately won. It is decided that Shakira will move to Miami with their children, Milan and Sasha. Pique, however, can visit his children in Miami. Soon after, Shakira found herself in the deep waters again as she was accused of tax evasion by the Spanish authorities.

Most recently, Shakira has once again made the headlines with her latest song which was a diss track against Pique. In the song, Shakira insults Pique and his current girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. However, Pique has also responded to Shakira’s song in a rather blunt manner. As of now, the controversy regarding Shakira and Pique seems to have no end.
