As the NFL is going on, the Buffalo Bills are all set to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in a crucial match as both teams are among the strong ones but have been struggling this season. It’s the Bills’ game against the same opponent at the same venue where a tragedy happened last year. The team’s safety Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest during the game. However, the team’s QB Josh Allen spoke on the conspiracy theories against Hamlin in January this year.
Born in May 1996, Josh Allen appeared on ‘Kyle Brandt’s Basement’ podcast early this year. There, the star player talked about what happened to Damar Hamlin last year. Allen went on to mention how the 25-year-old Hamlin was there with the team at Highmark Stadium during the Divisional Round playoff match. The star quarterback further referred to the conspiracy theories about Hamlin as “stupid”.
“Yeah, that’s stupid…One, that’s Damar’s swag… he likes wearing that. Two, he was in the locker room with us pregame… So yes that was Damar… That’s our guy… He was with us — pregame, postgame. He was up in the suite with his family, his little brother, 100 percent. So people need to stop that sh*t,” he said.

Josh Allen has been among the Bills’ impact players ever since his debut in 2018. The 6-foot-5 NFL star has developed a special bond with all his teammates including Damar Hamlin. Maybe that’s the reason why the baseless theories about the 200 lb safety irritated Allen.
Now, the Madden 24 cover star must be happy as Damar Hamlin might finally make his NFL comeback. Notably, the star player is not yet sure about whether he’ll be playing against the Bengals or not. However, Hamlin must be waiting to make a powerful comeback and lead his team to the Super Bowl this season.
What were the conspiracy theories about Damar Hamlin?
Born in Pennsylvania, Damar Hamlin had a cardiac arrest at Paul Brown Stadium in Week 18 last NFL season. After 3 weeks, the star player attended the Bills’ game at Highmark Stadium. However, rumors circulated the safety wasn’t actually there at the stadium and it was his body double posing as him.
At the stadium, Damar Hamlin was wearing sunglasses, a mask, and a hood that covered his face. This made people feel like the NFL star wasn’t actually present there. Some fans even felt that the 6-foot player’s face wasn’t visible throughout the game. Though Hamlin made his signature hand heart for the camera, people couldn’t see his face.
It’s worth noting that the Bills star attended the game while donning a sweatshirt and a puffer jacket. He was there along with his mom and brother, enjoying the game from a private suite. After the game, he even sarcastically addressed the rumors about him on social media, calling himself a “clone”.
Now, Damar Hamlin is finally going to be back on the gridiron. The star safety must be excited to exhibit his talent for his team once again. As for his fans and teammates, everyone is looking forward to watching him play.
