Among many netizens, a doubt lingers on about the result of KSI vs. Tommy Fury. None of the fighters dominated the proceedings, however, Fury received a point deduction for striking KSI on the back of the head. A point deduction in a six-round fight should have been the decider. Still, Fury was adjudged the winner by two of three judges, while the third judge scored them equally.
KSI was fuming about the decision from the moment it was announced. He believed he was on the receiving end of some grave injustice. The YouTuber complained about being struck on the back of the head multiple times. He also said that they would appeal the decision and hope for a change to be made.

MMA journalist Ariel Helwani conducted the post-match interviews. During the interview, KSI said, “We are going to appeal. I wanna appeal, bro… I’m sorry, that is outrageous… We need to see it again… I felt like I won that.”
To KSI‘s displeasure, appeals to overturn a decision in boxing do not really go as planned. A positive drug test after the fight may lead to a change in decision or as was in KSI’s own case, the illegal use of his elbow saw his win turn into a No Contest against Joe Fournier. However, outright acceptance that the judges scored the match wrongly does not happen.
A Redditor once asked in the subreddit r/boxing about overturning decisions, he wrote, “I’ve never in my 30 odd years ever heard any decisions actually being overturned and the complainant being awarded a win or even a draw… Anyone?”
He received no answers claiming that such an overturn had taken place. At least on a big scale, it is next to impossible.
Controversy rages as fans spot a mistake in the judges’ scorecard for Tommy Fury vs KSI
After the post-fight interviews were over and the judges’ scorecard was revealed, fans spotted another major controversy. One of the judges made a mistake in calculating the points for the total rounds.
Judge Ramos gave a full 10 points to KSI in the first two rounds. In the rest of the four rounds, he gave KSI 9 points. The total comes to 56. However, Ramos wrote 57 for KSI. He scored the fight 57-57. Basically, this means KSI actually lost via a unanimous decision and not a majority decision.

On the other hand, fans also noted that one of the other judges made changes in his second-round scoring. Fans suspect he gave Fury an 8, however, made it a 9 after a point was deducted. So, the end total of Fury’s points for the round became 8.
Controversy marred the decision in the main event of The PRIME Card. With KSI promising to appeal the decision, it will be interesting to see if any action is taken to overturn it.
