Although Max Verstappen has been dominating the sport lately, there was a time when he served the most incredible and thrilling rivalry of all time. Formula 1 has seen a lot of rivalry with Senna and Prost still being remembered to this day.
However, Verstappen’s progress as he moved closer to the top was one to watch. The champion fought with all his will to beat Lewis Hamilton. But as interesting as it was, his controversial win was not his favorite.
When Max Verstappen was asked which of his championship wins was his best it was clear that his 2021 title was not his favorite. Since the Dutchman now has three titles in a row and has joined the likes of Nelson Piquet, Ayrton Senna, and many more, it is only natural to have a favorite win until the next one comes. Verstappen said,
“This one is the best one. I think the first one was the most emotional one because that’s when your dreams are fulfilled in F1. But this one is definitely… It has been my best year. Consecutive wins and stuff like that, and the car itself has been probably in the best shape as well. So for me, this one is probably the one I’m most proud of in a way because of consistency.”

With his level of consistency at Red Bull, the team earned their third Constructors Championship title in a row. Additionally, Max Verstappen also beat the record of Sebastian Vettel and made a new record with 10 consecutive wins.
Lewis Hamilton to continue holding history as Max Verstappen confesses disinterest
Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen had one of the coldest battles of all. From driving on top of each other’s cars to battling wheel to wheel, they delivered what would be the last battle for victory.
The Dutchman took his first step into Formula 1 with a controversial end to his first championship win. However, now he wishes to not beat Lewis Hamilton or Michael Schumacher.
Schumacher won seven titles and 93 races, while Lewis Hamilton won seven titles with 103 race wins. Max Verstappen who only recently beat Sebastian Vettel with race wins now wishes that he finishes somewhere between Hamilton and Schumacher. He said,
Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton, Verstappen. Now they are 4 with at least 3 championships in a row in the 21st century. 🏆🏆🏆 pic.twitter.com/niwSI9VcJJ

“Of course, I want to win as much as I can. I know that from third place (Vettel) to second (Schumacher) is quite a big gap, so I hope maybe in my career I might end up somewhere there in the middle. That would be nice.”
Nonetheless, the driver does not wish to achieve nor beat the records held by previous greats of the sport. Although future possibilities can be bleak, Verstappen has kept a positive attitude through it all. Although taking his third title, he is aware he could lose everything in no time. Therefore, he confessed he was only enjoying the present and going along with it.
