Epic Games’ latest endeavor LEGO Fortnite is turning out to be a successful one within just days of its launch. There is no doubt that the crossover was expected to be an iconic one, however, the results have shown within merely days, three days to be precise.
LEGO Fortnite is a survival crafting game that can be played for free in Fortnite itself. The LEGO Fortnite crossover game was launched on December 7, 2023, and the new game emphasizes a more collaborative exploration, unlike its base battle royale mode.
The new game allows players to mine or collect iconic plastic bricks which they can then use to build a wide variety of things including weapons to fight the foes. Within just three days since its launch, the LEGO Fortnite map has reportedly overtaken the map of the game’s main Battle Royale mode.
LEGO Fortnite player count
The LEGO Fortnite has already turned out to be a winning formula for Epic Games. According to an unofficial yet reliable tracker Fortnite.gg, LEGO Fortnite has attracted millions of players daily since its December 7 debut. Especially, the mode’s daily player peak which is yet to fall below two million. It managed to hit nearly 2.2 million players on December 10.
These stats suggest that the new game mode has become two times more popular than the game’s Battle Royale mode. Historically, the original battle royale mode was responsible for all of Fortnite’s most impressive player count records to date.
Within merely three days of release, LEGO Fortnite brags an all-time player peak of nearly 2.5 million. This number is slightly behind the main Battle Royale map, which had managed to peak at 3.1 million players in early November, thanks to Fortnite OG.
Most played Fortnite modes
During the launch weekend, The LEGO Fortnite experience drew about as many players as the next four most-played modes on the list combined. Interestingly, LEGO Fortnite is close to achieving what Epic Games originally predicted for Fortnite: Save the World mode.
However, the LEGO IP has already let it surpass Save the World, the original survival crafting mode by more than 30 times based on player count.

LEGO Fortnite’s blockbuster debut seems to just be a small part of what bigger things are yet to come. Notably, the LEGO Fortnite mode is only the first experience of Epic and LEGO’s 2022 partnership. The partnership promises a more compelling metaverse in the coming times.
