The Formula 1 championship has already started with 4 GP’s done already. While real-world racing is already going on, the virtual version of Formula 1 sim racing has also begun. The F1 Sim Racing World Championship consists of the finest Esports drivers worldwide.
The virtual racing series will include all the original f1 teams and circuits. It follows a similar point system as the real race. The first race of the 2023-24 took place on 25 November 2023. The remaining 11 races of the season will take place in Stockholm.
How is Sim racing similar to the Grand Prix?
In the Sim Racing Championship, all the 20 drivers from across the world come together to race in a Sim setup. Both the drivers of a team will be paired together, which comes to a total of 10 teams.
All the teams included in the Championship will be the official teams spotted on the grid. In Sim racing series the total distance covered will be half of the real GP’s. The virtual series also Follows a similar point system to that of a Grand Prix.

The first 10 drivers will be awarded: 25-18-15-12-10-08-06-04-02-1. Another one additional point is awarded to the driver if he manages to finish on the pole or has the fastest lap but to get the point the driver has to finish in the top 10.
When will the F1 Sim Racing Championship take place?
The first event already concluded in November 2023 in Jönköping, Sweden. The drivers competed at the Bahrain circuit, with Thomas Ronhaar finishing first followed by Jarno Opmeer and Nicolas Longuet at P2 and P3.
The remaining races are set to take place throughout April 10th, 11th, and 12th.

12th April 5 pm CEST – Race Netherland and USA race 25 laps
How to participate in the F1 Sim racing championship?
While the racers for the F1 Sim Racing Championship 2023-24 is already underway new drivers cannot be selected for the current season. However, the intake for the drivers of 2024 has already begun.
There are no special criteria or minimum skill requirements to participate or register. Anyone who owns the official F1 2023 game on Xbox, PlayStation, or a suitable Windows PC with a decent stable internet connection can join.

Anyone who fulfills the above criteria can go to register on the official f1 site to get registered. After the registration, the player will get an invite to show off his overtaking and racing skills for a qualifier. If the player has impressive skills they will receive another invite for a round of Pro-Exhibition.
Here the drivers will fight to get signed by the official f1 teams to represent them at the Official F1 Sim Racing Championship.
