NBA 2K24 was initially announced a couple of months ago, and fans were left overjoyed. Over the years, fans have been extremely appreciative of the 2K franchise for consistently upgrading user experience and the overall gameplay. The game has evolved ever since its first installment which came out in 1999. Today, it offers fans the experience of being a player, manager, and owner all at once. In terms of sales, NBA 2K24 has been one of the best video game releases of 2023.
Console users have had fairly decent reviews about 2K24, whereas PC users haven’t. Fans who purchased the $60 version of the game have complained about a series of issues. Most of these issues revolve around possible hacks or modulations being used by players and the cross-play option which isn’t available for PC users. However, a few tweaks have been made in the game’s latest patch, the Version 1.3 update.
NBA 2K24 has made improvements in MyCareer and various other user-reported issues
NBA 2K24 announced that a Version 1.3 update will be released on September 25, 2023. This update will sort out a lot of gameplay-related issues to improve the smooth functionality and stability of the game.
As expected, fans have been complaining about bugs despite having two updates issued already. 2K has put in the work to improve a majority of glitches to enhance user experience. A good portion of the updates are related to the MyCareer mode of the game. Here is the list of upgrades.

Overall Gameplay:
- Tightened perimeter defense – to help reduce “ghost contests”.
- Increase in the success rate of open window dunks.
The City/Pro-Am/REC/ Theater:
- Improvement in the stability of the game in The City – to enhance user experience.
- Rec Games issues resolved.
- Improvements have been made to the Social Menu in terms of functionality and stability.
MyCareer/Quests/Progression:
- The RISE-specific Heat Check Booster will appear after three consecutive shots rather than five.
- An “indefinite hang” while saving MyCareer updates has been resolved.
- The issue that prevented rewards from being received following quests, as well as Rebirth and Badge Perks has been fixed.
- A “loophole” that could cause issues getting through offseason practice after the final game of the season has been closed.
- Adjustments made to ensure fans get to play flashback games at any point in the NBA season.
