SUMMARY
- Rockstar Games has gotten another scare as the source code for GTA 5 gets leaked onto the internet.
- One of the many things noticed in the source code was a plan for eight singleplayer DLCs planned for GTA 5.
Since the whole GTA 5 source code was made public, Rockstar Games is dealing with a serious cybersecurity problem. Information regarding more projects is also disclosed by the leak. Grand Theft Auto 5‘s whole source code has reportedly been made public, according to a December 24, 2023, report from YouTuber SKizzle on X.
According to an additional report on X, the source code is being circulated on a Discord server. However, the identity of the server is being kept secret to avoid additional distribution of the compromised information. Additionally, the source code can be found on the dark web and a Telegram channel.

Not only that but information regarding Bully 2 and the upcoming GTA game, previously code-named Project Americas was also leaked. Since then, fans have dug into this leaked content and think they have discovered proof of the canceled expansions, indicating that Rockstar may not have always intended to leave GTA 5 without any kind of DLC.
GTA 5’s planned Liberty City expansion
The Rockstar Community users on X have noticed that eight scheduled single player updates were revealed in the source code, all of which were naturally canceled. This was probably a result of Grand Theft Auto: Online’s popularity.
Insider Gaming has revealed that the DLC list is as follows:
- SP Assassination Pack
- SP Manhunt Pack
- SP Norman Pack
- Agent Trevor
- Relationship Pack
- Enterprise Pack
- Prologue DLC
- LibertyV DLC
The GTA 5 source code leak confirmed the cancelled single player DLCs and revealed many more. In total, it seems that there were plans for 8 single-player DLCs
✅ Manhunt
✅ Norman
✅ Relationship
✅ Enterprise
✅ Prologue
✅ Assassination
✅ Agent Trevor
✅ Liberty City pic.twitter.com/7AuTg2ABXN— MMI (@morsmutual_) December 25, 2023
Not every one of these expansions would have offered fans fresh storylines, despite what their names would imply. Anything with the word “pack” at the end would have probably just added extra social or business components, or expanded certain game mechanics in the case of the Relationship and Enterprise Packs.
Prologue DLC, LibertyV DLC, and Agent Trevor, on the other hand, all sound like they might have been standalone storylines. They would have either continued or addressed specific parts of the main story.

LibertyV was the name of the last update for the canceled DLC. This was intended to be an expansion pack for Grand Theft Auto 5 that included Liberty City. There have been long-running rumors about this, particularly since Rockstar Games and Take-Two pulled down projects that expressly recreated Liberty City in GTA5 as a mod that users could enjoy.
Another statement stated that Rockstar Games intended to first release a DLC for each of the protagonists before releasing an additional one that was only dedicated to Liberty City. All of these preparations, however, were abandoned, and the information was made public by the most recent leak.
Grand Theft Auto 5’s single-player DLC has long been a major source of contention within the gaming community. Given the caliber of Grand Theft Auto 4’s DLCs, The Lost and Damned, and The Ballad of Gay Tony, some people are sad that Trevor, Franklin, and Michael’s exploits were never continued, while others enjoy the game’s online component.
