The Bloodline has been one of the most dominant factions in the modern era, and its credit goes to every single member of the group. An angle that started on WWE TV way back in 2020 has continued to be featured throughout the last three years, and it’s safe to say the storyline around it has been nothing short of spectacular.
Even though The Bloodline storyline has always received appreciation from the pro wrestling industry, some recent incidents have started speculation that the story is going to end soon. So, let’s discover five possible reasons why the 3-year-long saga of Roman Reigns and his faction might be nearing its end.
Jey Uso’s sudden walkout
The first and foremost reason for recent talks about the end of the Bloodline saga was Jey Uso’s sudden walkout from the Triple-H-led promotion. This happened on SmackDown’s August 11 episode, as the fan-favorite Uso revealed during the final moments of the show that he’s out of The Bloodline, SmackDown, and WWE.
As the faction lost one of its most important members in the form of Jey, it could lead to changes in the fortunes of The Bloodline. Thus, Main Event Jey’s departure from the Stamford-based promotion could be the reason why the 3-year-long storyline might end really soon.
Roman Reigns’ title reign
The Bloodline might be great as a whole, but there’s no doubt that the biggest star in the entire faction is WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The Tribal Chief’s character and dominance have only gotten better through the faction, but many fans have been disappointed by his title reign.
Even though Roman is currently having one of the most historic championship runs in the modern era, fans have just got tired of his run. Many fans believed that Jey would dethrone him at SummerSlam, but that didn’t happen due to Jimmy Uso‘s interference. This further increased the disappointment among the fans, and to end this, WWE may soon close The Bloodline storyline for a fresh start.
Solo Sikoa’s character going stale
Roman has come out on top in most of his title defenses due to some outside interference, and probably the most surprising help he got was from Solo Sikoa at the WWE Clash at the Castle in September 2022. It happened during Reigns’ match against Drew McIntyre, as Sikoa helped his brother retain his title, and thus joined The Bloodline.
Ever since joining the faction, Solo Sikoa has been a regular feature on WWE TV and even received the limelight on some occasions. But there’s no denying that his in-ring abilities haven’t been used properly. In short, his usage has been disgusting, and the company could be looking to soon give him a single run by ending The Bloodline saga.
A potential feud between Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns
While many fans may claim that Solo Sikoa still needs to fight against the best to grow as a singles performer on the main roster. There can be no better way than to improve him than to put him against ‘The Head of the Table’ Roman Reigns, as it can elevate Solo’s professional career to the next level.
Both of these competitors have to dominate in-ring personas, and a feud against The Tribal Chief could be the only thing Sikoa requires to straight away reach the main event scene of WWE. Looking at the benefits it could have for the youngster, a feud between Sikoa and Roman might be the reason why the Stamford-based promotion could be ending The Bloodline saga really soon.
WWE running out of ideas
Everyone knows that The Bloodline story has been going on for 3-long years, and many believe that WWE can soon end the faction as a part of storyline progression. But what if the Triple-H-led promotion doesn’t really have the next story for the faction? Yes, you might think it funny to read, but this can actually be true.
Roman Reigns and his mates have been involved in the most interesting storyline in recent years under The Bloodline, but as it’s been a long time since it started, WWE might be running out of ideas. As the quality of plans for the future may not be of the same level the faction previously worked on, Stamford-based promotion may call it the end of the saga. Thus, a scarcity of stories could be the reason why The Bloodline’s end could be near.
While there can be a lot more reasons for the Stamford-based promotion to end The Bloodline story, as of yet, nothing has been announced. But, looking at the ongoing situation, it seems that we’ll surely soon get to see a new era of WWE. It’ll be interesting to see how the faction is handled in the upcoming weeks and also if this 3-year-long saga is going to end soon.
