After a spectacular SummerSlam 2023, WWE continued its great programming on the July 11 episode of SmackDown. The main event segment was obviously the highlight of the 2-hour-long show, as Jey Uso made a major announcement in the final moments of the episode.
The fan-favorite Uso revealed that he’s out of The Bloodline, SmackDown, and WWE, thus walking out of the promotion. As soon as Jey said these words, the majority of the fans were left shocked, while others speculated that it was just a storyline exit. However, the WWE recently confirmed Jey Uso’s exit, and it has left fans even more worried about his future with the Triple-H-led promotion.
As a way of confirming Jey Uso’s departure from the Stamford-based promotion, the WWE has moved him from the current performers’ roster to the alumni section on their official website. This step by Triple H’s company has come as an absolute shock to many, as they didn’t really expect anything like this to happen.
While fans may speculate that Jey being moved to the alumni roster seemingly confirms that he’s really departed WWE. But, it’s probably a measure that the Stamford-based promotion has taken to make fans believe that the fan-favorite Uso has officially left. However, it’s something that even those with a minimum amount of pro wrestling knowledge would believe, as Jey is currently among the most over-performers in the entire company.
Jey Uso super-kicked his brother Jimmy Uso before quitting WWE
Currently, the biggest topic of discussion among the WWE universe is obviously Jey Uso’s future with the promotion. But before this walkout saga happened, fans got to witness some interesting storyline progression in the main event segment.
As Jey Uso interrupted The Bloodline and Jimmy Uso’s discussion about the latter’s actions at SummerSlam, he demanded answers for getting attacked by his twin brother. Jimmy tried to mix things up and offered an amendment to his twin brother, but Jey didn’t agree to this offer.
During the end moments of the segment, Jey Uso first laid out Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa and then turned his attention toward his twin brother. Finally, Mr. Main Event took out his frustration on Jimmy, as he delivered a superkick to his twin brother.
After taking his former teammates from The Bloodline, Jey turned his attention toward the camera and announced that he was quitting the Triple-H-led promotion. This unexpected walkout by Jey Uso has started different speculations among the fans, and it remains to be seen how things will turn out to be in the upcoming weeks.
