Despite retaining his Undisputed Universal Championship at SummerSlam, Roman Reigns hasn’t had the best of times in recent weeks. Firstly, Jey Uso took out The Tribal Chief on the August 11 episode before announcing his WWE exit, and now it seems that Roman is set to face another disappointment in the immediate future.
According to the latest reports, Roman Reigns‘ cousin and legendary performer Umaga’s son could soon betray The Bloodline. The cousin in these rumors is late WWE superstar Umaga’s son, Zilla Fatu. The youngster’s real name is Isayah Fatu, and he has come into the limelight after a cryptic message on social media.
In a tweet through his X handle, the youngster tagged All Elite Wrestling, and this has led to speculation that he could soon betray Roman’s faction to join the Jacksonville-based promotion.
His indications about joining AEW, amid the ongoing rumors after Jey’s exit from Triple H’s company, have taken the fan buzz to an extreme level as they strive to find out what the future holds for The Bloodline’s 3-year-long storyline.
When will Zilla Fatu debut in AEW?
As reports of Fatu’s debut in Tony Khan’s company have taken over the internet, there could be no better place for him to appear than at AEW’s historic All In London event. The event is the biggest in the history of the Jacksonville-based promotion, and the next generation of the famous Samoan family showing up there could take the stakes even higher.
The card for the August 27 show still has a lot of spots left to be filled, but Zilla’s best opportunity to make his mark could be by working in the Stadium Stampede match for the Blackpool Combat Club. The team is still looking for partners, and the Samoan joining stars like Jon Moxley could be the best possible AEW debut for the youngster.
Zilla Fatu follows the same path as The Usos
Even though everything around Zilla‘s AEW debut is currently under speculation, the performer’s journey to reach this stage of his in-ring career has been spectacular. Having a great heritage associated with his name, the 27-year-old gave his all to the profession and followed the same path as WWE’s iconic tag team and his cousins, The Usos.
Umaga’s son recently made his in-ring debut at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling, and this is the same place where his cousins Jey and Jimmy started their pro wrestling careers. Zilla competed at the promotion’s July 15 Summer of Champions event, and looking at his dominating persona, it seems this was the start of a great professional career.
While Fatu joining Tony Khan’s company and potentially making his first-ever appearance at the promotion’s upcoming PPV is not at all confirmed, It won’t be a bad decision by the Jacksonville-based promotion to sign an exciting prospect like the 27-year-old Samoan star. It remains to be seen whether the rumors about Zilla betraying The Bloodline to join AEW will become a reality or not.
