Simone Biles opens up about her struggles before making her comeback
After becoming the most decorated gymnast of all time, Simone Biles revealed on social media that, at one point in time, she thought she wouldn’t be able to compete again. A fan tweeted, “Remember like five months ago we didn’t think Simone would ever compete again,” which inspired Biles to share the post with teary-eyed emojis, writing, “Real talk I didn’t think so either”.
After a two-year break from professional gymnastics, Biles made a remarkable comeback by winning the sixth all-around world championship gold and earning the record for having the most international gymnastics medals in history. She then won three more medals at the World Championships, making the total medal count of 37, including the World Championship and the Olympics.

Biles has previously admitted that she felt nervous about getting back to professional gymnastics. She even thought of declaring retirement once. She had doubts about her performance and her mental health as well. However, her peers and coach helped her gain the confidence that she needed to get back out there again.
During her break from gymnastics, Biles met the love of her life, her husband, Jonathan Owens, who is an NFL player. The couple tied the knot earlier this year in April in the courthouse and later had a second ceremony at the beautiful destination of Cabo San Lucas in May.
