The former UFC champion Conor McGregor has been in the limelight recently, for all the wrong reasons. Reportedly ‘The Notorious’ has been accused of r*ping a female at Game 4 of the NBA finals between ‘The Miami Heat’ and ‘Denver Nuggets’. According to the news, the accuser was offered a sum of $100,000 to cover up the incident that took place at Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
Reportedly Ariel Mitchell, the attorney representing the accuser, claimed that the NBA officials along with Miami Heat were hastily trying to “keep it quiet”.

The officials have denied all the claims regarding the incident. When asked about it Mike Bass, the NBA’s chief communications officer, said “This claim is categorically false.”
The incident was first reported by TMZ after the incident of Conor with the Miami Heat Mascot went viral. The woman claimed that she was forced into the bathroom by team and league security in the arena.
Although moments after these claims were made, footage was released from NBA which indicates that she was apparently not forced. The attorney Ariel Mitchell issued the demand letters to the NBA officials.
“Some of the security guards who stood by when this happened were not McGregor’s. They were hired by the Heat,” Mitchell said. “They decided to cater to a celebrity instead of protecting a young woman in trouble.” The attorney also claimed that the Miami police department tried to dismiss her client’s case.
The accuser was seen enjoying with Conor McGregor moments after the incident
The woman who accused Conor was seen enjoying with him at the NBA finals. Both were seen sitting together minutes after the women claimed the incident took place.
According to more recent footage released from June 9, 2023, the woman is seen enjoying a drink with Conor. In the footage released by TMZ, the Notorious is seen walking off in the other direction after the accuser gestures towards the opposite direction.
Ariel Mitchell, the attorney of the women commented on the footage. “My client has always stated that there would be a video of before and after, and in those videos, she emphasised that the difference in the interactions between them would be visibly noticeable.“
“This again is another video that supports what my client has been saying and supports what she told the police since the inception of this incident.”
Whereas the legal team from Conor’s end have denied all accusations, using the footage as evidence. Hence, with more and more videos being released, the case is becoming multi-faceted.
