The two eventually started dating in 2007, and came out in public in 2009 before announcing the arrival of their first child Thiago in 2012. The couple got married in 2017 in a lavish wedding which was attended by several of his Barcelona and Argentina teammates. The couple currently have three kids, Thiago, Mateo and Ciro who are ten, seven and five years old respectively.
