Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez is set to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli this summer. As per reports, the English club has agreed to sell their star player this summer.
Riyad Mahrez joined Manchester City in 2018 for approximately $77 million. Furthermore, the player still had two years left with Manchester City in his contract. Mahrez also played an important role in the English club’s treble win this season.
The player has scored 15 goals in 47 games he appeared for City last season. However, he was not used by manager Pep Guardiola in both FA Cup and Champions League final last season. Therefore, Mahrez has now opted to make a switch to the Middle East.

The player is set to join Al-Ahli on a 3-year contract deal of around $39.2 million. Mahrez is said to receive a $111,7000-a-week salary at his new club. Furthermore, the deal includes $5.5 million in add-ons.
Manchester City players like Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva, and Aymeric Laporte are all said to be making a move this summer. It will be interesting to see how the transfer saga for Manchester City will turn out this summer.
Manchester City is considering Raphinha as a potential replacement for Riyad Mahrez
Manchester City has identified Raphinha as their potential replacement for Riyad Mahrez this summer. The player joined Barcelona last summer.
Barcelona manager Xavi has, however, repeatedly claimed that the player will not be making a switch this summer. Furthermore, the player has echoed the same sentiments as his manager. Raphinha’s contract with Barcelona runs till 2027.
Manchester City is said to be looking for players to replace their outgoing player Riyad Mahrez. According to reports, the Brazillian is expected to be their top target this summer. Furthermore, the player has made 50 appearances for the Catalan club.

The player, however, failed to make an important mark on the club since his arrival. He only managed to register 10 goals and 12 assists to his name last season. Furthermore, he also lost his starting place in the squad to Dembele after his tough start last season.
As per several reports, the player is set to stay at Barcelona next season. Furthermore, Dembele is expected to be ahead of him in the pecking order next season as well. Barcelona could be looking to sell the player as they are currently struggling financially. Thus, selling the player could relieve them of some financial burden.
