After days of speculation, Neymar Jr has reportedly reached an agreement to leave PSG for Al-Hilal. Neymar’s exit from the club has been on the cards for quite some time now. It was widely reported that Neymar Jr wanted to return to his former club FC Barcelona. Although there were offers from Saudi Arabia and the MLS, it was reported that FC Barcelona was Neymar‘s priority. However, as per recent news, the PSG star has reportedly agreed to a $165 million mega move to Al-Hilal. While there were rumors about Neymar returning to Barca on loan, no such clause has been included in his contract.

Although according to soccer transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Neymar’s move to Barca failed only for one reason. Romano reported that Barca has always been Neymar’s first option. Moreover, Barca president Joan Laporta, vice-president Rafa Yuste, and sporting director Mateu Alemany and Deco were also in favor of Neymar’s return.
But Neymar’s poor relationship with Barca coach Xavi Hernandez has prevented his move to his former club. The Brazilian has reportedly refused to return to Barca as long as Xavi is the coach. Meanwhile, Xavi also couldn’t be convinced by Laporta or the other board members to give the green light on Neymar’s return.
