It looks like the Sir Jim Ratcliffe-led-INEOS group has finally started showing its colors at Manchester United. The new minority investors are prepared to introduce some major changes at the club which starts as soon as the summer of 2024.
The club has reportedly deliberated on the managerial position, with the INEOS group not impressed by the record of the current manager Erik ten Hag. Moreover, the club is already bringing in a new technical director, a new sporting director, and a new CEO.
🚨 Erik ten Hag’s credentials will be assessed by new Manchester United technical director Jason Wilcox before the club make a decision on the Dutchman’s future.

However, the major focus of the new regime would be to revitalize the team. While the INEOS group understands the importance of investment in terms of new players being bought, it would also like to clear the deadwood out of the club. INEOS group has already drawn out a list of some unwanted players at the club, with some very shocking names.
Marcus Rashford will be allowed to leave Manchester United if he wants to
The United youngster has had a troublesome outing in the 23/24 season, with his poor on-field performances. His paltry statistics of just 8 goals and 5 assists in 40 games have been one of the prime reasons for Manchester United’s disappointing campaign. Moreover, his lack of professionalism has also not gone down well with the club hierarchy.
This has resulted in Manchester United effectively putting the English talent up for sale in the summer 2024 transfer window. The club has decided that they would let Rashford decide his future, as he is open to leave.
The club would likely cash in on the Englishman if a lucrative offer comes for the 26-year-old. This would help the club financially as well, as Marcus Rashford’s sale would free up almost $100 million worth of wage bill. Marcus Rashford is one of the most well-paid players at Man Utd. with a weekly wage of around $375,000.

Paris Saint Germain is one interested club in Marcus Rashford and could make a bid for the United player in the summer transfer window. The French club is likely to bring in some quality players after the departure of their star player Kylian Mbappe.
Even Bruno Fernandes is unsafe from Manchester United’s revamp
As mentioned earlier, Manchester United is going for a complete overhaul of its squad for the upcoming season. This would mean that some very unlikely names might be on their way out of Old Trafford at the end of the 23/24 season.
One of the biggest names could be their captain Bruno Fernades. The Portuguese have been the English team’s only shining light in the 23/24 season with 15 goals and 11 assists in 45 games. Manchester United might want to sell Bruno Fernandes to bring in some new leadership to the team.
Along with the Portuguese, Scott McTominay could also be sold bringing an end to his long association with Manchester United, a club for which he has also played youth soccer. Some constantly injured and old players like Casmeiro, Raphael Varane, and Luke Shaw are also said to have been placed on the transfer list.
Selling Casemiro & letting Varane go has to be one of the most important moves the new board of United can do during this summer.

Moreover, it is also highly unlikely that Manchester United will sign Sofyan Amrabat on a permanent deal. The Moroccan midfielder was signed on loan from Serie A side Fiorentina but hasn’t been able to impress with his performances.
It is clear that Manchester United is learning from its past mistakes, and is bound to make some tough calls in the summer. However, its success in the upcoming season will depend on how many of its summer transfer plans materialize.
