In what is proving to be a transfer saga in the making, Manchester United have started examining the possibility of signing Harry Kane. This comes as no surprise, as he has been linked with the Red Devils for the past 2 seasons as well. But both the Tottenham management and the striker were adamant about him having a future at the North London club.
As things stand currently, there is a growing expectation around the England captain that he won’t sign a new Tottenham contract. To say the least, Spurs have had a pretty rough season. From Conte absolutely humiliating them publicly and leaving mid-season to now potentially losing out a Champions League spot.

But all things considered, Harry Kane has achieved personal feats at the club not many can possess. A 3-time Premier League Golden Boot winner, he has been absolutely phenomenal in the league. With 207 goals to his name in the PL (all-time) and counting, he is well on his way to topping the Premier League’s all-time scorers chart as well.
The 3-time Golden Boot winner is about to enter the final year of his current contract at Tottenham. If he does not sign a new contract as soon as this summer, he will walk for free next transfer window. This adds even more pressure on Daniel Levy and the management to sell Kane, considering it is uncertain that he will sign an extension.
Why Harry Kane would be the perfect fit for Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United
Manchester United has lately struggled with finding the perfect striker. While Erik ten Hag did sign Wout Weghorst in January on loan, it has proved to be an inconsistent and temporary solution to a bigger problem. The lack of a proper number 9 has forced Rashford to play upfront, not allowing him to play at his best position which is as a left-winger.
Manchester United see Harry Kane as the perfect goalscorer for the project. Erik ten Hag is looking for this kind of profile, a traditional number 9, a goalscorer, a physical player. Daniel Levy will try his best to keep him. [@FabrizioRomano] pic.twitter.com/Ok0hkxXYSe

Harry Kane coming in, is the answer to all the problems for United. Another factor that comes into play is the chemistry the potential front 3 might have. Rashford, Kane, and Sancho are English and play together for the national team.
United are certainly looking for a high-profile striker this summer transfer window as they look to challenge for the title next season. While the Red Devils want a prolific goal-scorer, it will be a huge move for Harry Kane as well as this will give him a chance to add silverware to his personal cabinet.
