Mason Greenwood has been the talk of the town recently. The 21-year-old’s fate still hangs by a thread as the club has delayed the verdict on his return to the main team. However, manager Erik ten Hag looks like the only ray of hope for the English star in the context of his return to the club.
According to The Athletic, the verdict regarding Mason Greenwood’s decision is going to be delayed until mid-September by the club. The Athletic also reports that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is open to the idea of Mason Greenwood’s return to the club. However, it doesn’t solely depend on the Dutch manager, as the members of the hierarchy will certainly have a say in this.

Athletic further reported that the club is seeking advice from a wide range of people before making a decision, including captain Katie Zelem and players Mary Earps and Ella Toone of the Manchester United Women. The club has stated that while seeking feedback from the discussions, Richard Arnold will ultimately hold the final say.

All three of them are currently representing England at the Women’s World Cup being held in Australia and New Zealand on an international level. Additionally, the claim attributes the delay in part to online abuse that “incorrectly targeted” England Women players before the World Cup quarterfinal.
eFootball 2023 update features the comeback of Mason Greenwood
Konami has recently reintroduced Mason Greenwood to eFootball 2023 in the latest update, following his initial removal from eFootball PES 2021 in February 2022. And this has already started speculation regarding the Englishman’s return to Manchester United.
In the recent August 2023 update, Konami has reintroduced Mason Greenwood to the roster along with the recent signings that include Andre Onana, Mason Mount, and Rasmus Hojlund.

Previously, many developers, including EA Sports, had removed Greenwood from FIFA due to all the allegations and his arrest. Although EA has not rehired Greenwood, it appears that his future is gradually becoming clearer in light of Konami’s action.
There is speculation that the club’s decision to make eFootball 2023 the official video game partner of Manchester United may be a hint as to the club’s intended course of action, though there has been no proof of this as of yet.
Initially, Greenwood had a rating of 80 as a Gold Ball player in eFootball PES 2021. However, his current rating on his player card in eFootball 2023 is 75. The game has also updated his comprehensive stats and personality traits, making fans speculate whether a return is imminent or not. So what are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments down below.
