The 28-year-old defender suffered a double whammy in the first game of the new season of MLS. The defender went viral for all being a cone for Messi and also suffered a 2-0 loss against Inter Miami. While other players would have moved on from the embarrassing moment, it is nice to see that the defender found humor in the whole incident.
Andrew Brody’s professional career
Andrew Brody started his career with the Real Salt Lake Academy back in 2013. He moved away from the academy to join the Louisville Cardinals in August 2013. The left-back was shuffled between the Cardinals and the under-23 side of Orlando City for three years. He was sent on two different loan spells in three years to Orlando before joining Real Monarchs SLC in 2016.
Brody remained in the book of Real Monarchs SLC for five seasons. He was loaned to Saalfelden in 2019, but that move didn’t work out for him. The left-back’s first big move came in 2021 when he returned to Real Salt Lake to complete a full circle in his career.

Andrew Brody has played 202 games in his career, in which he has scored 10 goals and 17 assists. He has made 96 appearances for Real Salt Lake in which he has scored two goals and 10 assists. The left-back will look to jump back to winning ways when he faces St. Louis on February 24.
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi will travel to Los Angeles to face LA Galaxy. They will face the former club of Inter Miami’s co-owner, David Beckham, in the second match of the 2024 MLS season on February 25. All eyes will be on Messi again to see if he can provide another viral-worthy moment.
