However, The Undertaker can often be seen making appearances in several interviews and podcasts. During that, The Deadman opens up on various topics. Meanwhile, recently, Taker shared his thoughts about Triple H and Shawn Michaels.
It is to be noted that Triple H is the Chief Content Officer and Head of Creative at WWE. On the other hand, Shawn Michaels is the Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative of WWE. In addition to that, Michaels also looks after the creative aspects of NXT.
The Undertaker showers praises on Shawn Michaels
The Undertaker recently spoke on ‘Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway’. During that, the WWE Hall of Famer showered praise on Shawn Michaels. Taker was asked, “What Triple H is doing and what Shawn’s doing over at NXT, did you see those two being in those positions at all like back in the day, could you see it on in them?”
The Deadman then said, “Paul yes, Shawn not so much. May be Shawn 2.0.” He then added that it’s great to learn about the wrestling business from Michaels and HHH. Taker further added, “I mean I don’t know how Hands-On Shawn is like in day-to-day as far as the teaching aspect.”
He also stated that the WWE management has some great teachers. Although The Phenom was optimistic about Triple H, he never thought the Old School Shawn Michaels would be a senior vice president in WWE. However, now that HBK has done the unthinkable, Taker has nothing but praise for his growth.
The iconic rivalry between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels
The Undertaker recently praised Shawn Michaels. However, they were once involved in a heated rivalry that is still a hot topic of discussion among the fans. Previously, The Deadman and HBK began feuding in 1997.
With that, they faced each other in several matches. Finally, a No Disqualification Streak vs. Career match was set between Taker and Shawn at WrestleMania XXVI. With that, The Undertaker defeated Shawn Michaels to win the match.
Meanwhile, since HBK lost, according to the stipulation of the match, he was forced to retire from in-ring competition. Afterward, Michaels disappeared from the company for a long time. However, he later made an appearance during The Undertaker’s retirement ceremony.
Despite spending several years beefing with each other, they have left their onscreen rivalry behind and have walked on their own paths. Meanwhile, with Michaels as the Senior Vice President and Taker making sporadic appearances, it is to be seen if they will even come face-to-face inside the WWE ring. Fans will definitely look forward to that iconic moment.
