The defender claimed that the encounter was consensual. These comments were a total U-turn from his comments in 2023, where he claimed he never met the victim. However, the CCTV footage cleared the doubt in this regard when the video evidence showed the defender was alone with a victim in the toilet for 47 seconds.
Dani Alves’s ex-wife testified in the court for the trial
All the evidence was already pointing against Dani Alves when Joana Sanz testified in court. She revealed that her ex-partner was intoxicated with alcohol when he came back home on the night of the incident. Alves was so drunk that he bumped into various pieces of furniture in the house. These comments added more evidence against Alves, which almost confirmed the verdict against him.
Alves’ relationship with his wife, Joana Sanz, has suffered the worst during this trial. The defender revealed to the Catalan newspaper La Vanguardia that he lied about meeting the victim because he wanted to save his relationship with his wife, Joanna Sanz.
However, the opposite happened during the timeline. On January 31, 2023, Joana Sanz demanded a divorce from Dani Alves due to this incident. The model confirmed the split from Alves with a letter that she posted on her Instagram account on March 15, 2023.
Joana Sanz is currently in good spirits, as per her social media activity. The model is currently on her second day of shooting for the upcoming project. She can be seen enjoying a cup of coffee in between breaks while her ex-partner is currently experiencing the worst week of his whole life.
Sanz previously commented that she has closed the chapter of her life that started in 2015 by marrying Dani Alves. Judging by her latest Instagram stories, she is currently doing that only by keeping her head down and following her career.
