At Inter Miami, Lionel Messi has shown magnificent levels of performance. In just 12 matches for the MLS club, the 36-year-old has had 16 goal contributions. Leo has so far scored 11 goals and assisted another five for Inter Miami. The Argentinian signed for the American club in July 2023.
Argentina’s number ten has further been nominated for the Ballon d’Or 2023. He’s the player who has captured the prestigious honor more times than any other player in soccer. Messi has won seven Ballon d’Or awards till now. In addition to his fans, this time the former PSG teammate of Leonel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, has also come to his support and inflicted that the veteran also deserves the honor this time around.

Kylian Mbappe stated, “I will be voting for Leo Messi in the Ballon d’Or poll”. Mbappe also inflicted that, according to him, the Argentinian was the best soccer player of the year. The player is also on the nominee list for the award. But this opinion of his does suggest that he admits defeat in the race against Leo. Mbappe and Leo were the first and second top scorers, respectively, in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
While Leo has left PSG, Kylian still plays for the club. Different rumors have been linking the French international with clubs all around the world. But he remains a key part of PSG’s attack. His current contract with the Ligue 1 side goes on until June 2024. The 24-year-old has taken the field 268 times for the club. He has netted an impressive tally of 220 goals for them.

Kylian Mbappe has shared the dressing room at PSG with Argentina’s number ten. The 24-year-old has often touted a lot of respect for his senior veteran. In the middle of the year 2023, Mbappe penned an earnest message for his Argentinian counterpart.
The French international did it in one of his social media posts. While giving Leo birthday wishes, Mbappe thanked the 36-year-old for their time together at PSG. Kylian further inflicted, “I learned a lot from you as a player, partner, opponent, and man”. The player also granted best wishes to Leo for his latest stint at Inter Miami.
