Four players, each with a rating of 91, will share the coveted top spot in EA Sports FC 24, scheduled for release on September 29, and they will bring a new perspective to the gaming industry. The new torchbearers of the highest ratings are Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Alexis Putellas, and Kevin de Bruyne, potentially marking the end of the dominance of Messi and Ronaldo.
The decline of Lionel Messi is one of the ratings’ most shocking findings for EA FC 24. Since FIFA 09, the Argentine superstar has maintained an overall rating of at least 90, but it has since fallen to 90. This is Messi’s lowest rating in more than ten years, signaling a change in the virtual soccer landscape.

This could have been due to Messi’s transfer to Inter Miami. Messi’s departure from the European soccer circuit to the Major League Soccer in the United States might had an impact on his rating.
On the other hand, Messi’s longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo has also experienced a major setback in his virtual soccer career. Ronaldo’s FIFA rating, which has consistently placed him in the top echelon, has dropped to 86 in EA FC 24. This represents a four-point decline from his rating in FIFA 23. For context, consider that this is the first time since FIFA 07 that Ronaldo has received a rating below 90.

The torch has officially been passed to a new generation of soccer stars in the virtual realm. Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Alexis Putellas, and Kevin de Bruyne now share the honor of being the top-rated players in EA FC 24, all boasting an impressive rating of 91.

In addition, the new game will feature female players in Ultimate Team for the first time in the history of the franchise. EA announced the highest-rated female stars at the same time as the male stars in advance of the new mode’s launch later this month.
Other than Messi, many other players continue to have a 90 overall rating in EA FC 24. Players with this rating fall into a select group that includes Aitana Bonmati, Sam Kerr, Robert Lewandowski, Karim Benzema, Caroline Graham Hansen, Harry Kane, and Thibaut Courtois. Each of them has distinguished themselves by consistently displaying their abilities on a large stage, elevating them to the top of the game.
The name of the most recent installment of the franchise changed from FIFA to EA FC following the end of the game developer’s affiliation with soccer’s governing body.
