The Inter Miami star expressed a lot of admiration for Antonella for the way she deals with their children. Due to his professional commitments, Messi often has to stay away from his family. He also admitted that managing his children for 24 hours a day every week is a tough job, which Messi himself found to be quite challenging. Therefore, Messi’s respect and admiration for Antonella has been further heightened.

The couple, who grew up together in Rosario, met for the first time at Messi’s close friend Lucas Scaglia’s house. It was love at first sight for the Argentine icon after he met Antonella, who was Scaglia’s cousin. However, when a young Messi left Rosario for Barcelona, the two lost contact.
Although Messi and Antonella were reunited once again years later after a tragedy struck the latter. Back in 2007, Antonella’s best friend died due to a tragic car crash.
Antonella, who was studying dental medicine at the University of Argentina, found her source of comfort in the former FC Barcelona star.
