Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly looking to reunite with his former teammate at Real Madrid, Casemiro. The Brazilian CDM is playing his soccer in 2024 for Premier League side Manchester United. Though Casemiro is injured Al-Nassr reportedly, won’t shy away from plotting a move for the Brazilian in the January 2024 transfer window.
Casemiro signed for Manchester United in 2022
Manchester United had signed the 31-year-old Brazilian from Real Madrid in the summer of 2023. Though, only 18 months were remaining in his contract, ‘The Red Devils’ had to dig deep in their pockets to land the Brazilian. Real Madrid reportedly, received a whopping $70 million from Manchester United in exchange for the Brazilian’s services.
His first season at United was a success. Casemiro formed the heart of the Manchester United midfield that went on to finish third in the PL 2022/23 season and won the Carabao Cup. The 31-year-old provided the kind of stability and protection that the United midfield had been yearning for years.

However, as time passed by, the flaws in his game became more evident. The Brazilian has become susceptible to making mistakes in the 23/24 season and the defensive side of his game has come into question. Casemiro can no longer make the crunching tackles that he was once known for and is losing his speed with age.
Therefore, Manchester United might be inclined towards getting the Brazilian off their wage bill. With Cristiano personally, asking the Al-Nassr board for the signing has made it more urgent. However, United can still be in trouble if Casemiro leaves the club. ‘The Red Devils’ midfield is struck by a series of injuries and its squad depth is both concerning and shallow.
