Although, the two soccer players did not have the chance to reunite at the concert. But their simultaneous presence at the concert was enough to create a buzz among the soccer fans.
Both Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique were two of the most instrumental players in the Barcelona team. Furthermore, both players shared the dressing room for more than a decade and shared a comradeship.

The fans were eager for the reunion between the two former Barcelona players. However, there has been no confirmation on whether or not the two players hung out together at the Coldplay concert.
The strained relationship between Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique
Many speculated that the relationship between Lionel Messi and Gerad Pique hit a low after Messi departed from Barcelona in 2021. The player left Barcelona due to their financial struggles in registering the player.
Reports claim that Messi was upset about how Pique had downplayed his departure from the club in private messages with the Barcelona President. Furthermore, Pique took a massive pay cut after Messi’s departure thus making the fans suspicious of his intentions.
Lionel Messi has been seen with old club mates Busquets and Alba on several occasions. However, Pique was always missing from these reunions.
Lionel Messi posted a heartfelt message for Busquests on his departure from the club. The player wrote, “On the court always with 5, but in reality as a player and as a person you are 10, Busi. I wish you the best in your new stage and always, both you and your family. Thank you for on and off the court, there were so many moments we spent together, many good and some also complicated. They will stay forever.”
Fans were quick to point out that Messi did not share any heartfelt words on Pique’s retirement. Messi even left out Pique’s name when he was asked about the players he still kept contact with.
