Seth Rollins has been ruling WWE since he became the World Heavyweight Champion, has been a part of several top-notch matches, and has been seen in several PPV events. With that, fans are extremely eager to know more about the WWE superstar. While fans are aware of many things about Rollins, there is one thing that they might not be aware of.
It is a fact that Seth Rollins once wanted to witness a live s*x celebration. It came up from the same controversial segment from 2006, which featured WWE Hall of Famer Edge and WWE Superstar Lita.
During an appearance, while everyone else was talking about Batista and Dana Brooke’s romance, Rollins brought up the segment between Edge and Lita and mentioned how he gets thrilled by what they “had live in the ring“. He apparently hinted at the fact that he wanted to witness the same kind of segment featuring Dana and the 54-year-old WWE legend. He said, “I’m just saying…oh my goodness“.
Thus, The Visionary wanted to see a live s*x celebration between Brooke and Batista. However, the Edge and Lita segment is indeed one of the most controversial and talked about segments in the history of WWE. While some were absolutely okay with the segment, some found it to be quite surprising. But, there’s more to what meets the eye.
WWE Hall of Famer Edge never wanted to be a part of the celebration
The controversial segment took place after Edge successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at New Year’s Revolution 2006. He then went on to defeat John Cena and bag the WWE Championship. Thereafter, he had the ‘celebration’ with Lita.
However, what might be unknown to many is that the Hall of Famer never wanted to be a part of the controversial segment. During his appearance on the ‘Impaulsive’ podcast, Edge stated that when the idea of the segment was brought to him, he mentioned that he didn’t want to do it.
The WWE legend said, “As a celebration, yeah. Oh my God, yeah. Yeah, that was the night after I won the title for the first time and that was brought to me and I was like ah I really don’t want to do that but here we are.” Thus, he ended up becoming a part of the segment though against his wishes.
However, it is to be noted that Edge and Lita didn’t actually make love inside the ring. Previously, in an interview, the former drew comparisons between the celebration segment and intimate movie scenes. He described it by stating that people were getting beheaded by him when he was playing his character in ‘The Vikings’. As that wasn’t real, this wasn’t real as well.
Seth Rollins has a huge match scheduled ahead
World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has been quite the talk of the town right now. He is currently one of the top stars in the promotion. He previously headlined the last PPV event, WWE Payback 2023, where he successfully defended the title against Shinsuke Nakamura. Not only that, but he currently has a huge match planned ahead.
The upcoming pay-per-view event WWE Fastlane 2023, is quickly approaching. While Rollins gave a top-notch performance at the last PLE event, he is once again set to defend his championship against Shinsuke Nakamura in a title rematch at the event. Not only that, his huge title match also has a unique stipulation set, as it will be a ‘Last Man Standing’ match.
