Lita is one of WWE’s greatest women’s superstars of all time. Her contributions to women’s wrestling paved the way and inspired the next generation of female pro wrestlers to take up wrestling as a career. She was able to win the WWE Women’s Championship four times in her illustrious career. Lita was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014.
The WWE legend’s dating life has also been a major topic of discussion among fans. Lita has dated multiple WWE superstars in real-life while working in Vince McMahon’s company.
She started dating current AEW star Matt Hardy in 1999. Lita and Hardy met in January 1999 at a National Wrestling Alliance Mid-Atlantic show. The couple dated for over 6 years. Lita was also part of the iconic tag team “Team Xtreme” alongside Matt and Jeff Hardy during the early 2000s.
Lita then started dating WWE legend Edge in 2005. The couple had some memorable moments on WWE TV as a pair. The s*x celebration that they did on live TV created controversy and received backlash from fans. After her breakup with Edge, Lita dated her band member Shane Morton for two years.
The third WWE superstar that Lita has dated in her life is controversial superstar CM Punk. The couple dated from 2009 to 2010 and from late 2012 to September 2013. Punk went on to marry former Divas Champion AJ Lee in 2014.
Lita cheated on Matt Hardy with Edge
Lita during her WWE career has grabbed headlines for the wrong reasons as well. In 2005 while her boyfriend Matt Hardy was out of action with an injury, Lita started having an affair with fellow WWE superstar Edge who was a married man at that time. Hardy found out about the relationship and he allegedly put the news out to the public.
Following the incident, Matt Hardy was fired by the company. This led to fans chanting Hardy’s name and this forced the company to bring the veteran superstar back. Edge and Lita reportedly felt bad for putting Hardy in such a situation. All three parties were able to bury the hatchet soon after.
Hardy then pitched the idea to work an angle based on the real-life incident and WWE booked a feud between Edge and Matt Hardy. The program massively helped Edge and Lita and elevated them to the main event scene.
Matt Hardy then went on to marry TNA star Reby Sky in 2013. The couple has four children. Edge married WWE Hall of Famer Beth Pheonix in 2016 and they have two children. Lita meanwhile has stayed single since her break-up with CM Punk.

Lita made her WWE return recently and was able to add another milestone to her Hall of Fame career. She won the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Becky Lynch. Lita is now set to team up with Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch and face the team of Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky at WrestleMania 39 in a six-woman tag team match.
