Jalen Oluwaseun Isaiah Milroe, more popularly known as Jalen Milroe, is a quarterback who plays for the Alabama Crimson Tide (University of Alabama). The young prodigy is currently just 21 years old and was born on December 13, 2002. He is currently one of the top collegiate quarterback prospects, and a lot of top NFL teams have their eyes set on him.
Jalen Milroe started off his career playing for Obra D. Tompkins High School, which is located in Fort Bend County, Texas. He was an absolute sensation there and won an aggregate of thirty games for them. Milroe recorded a total of 3,825 passing yards, 559 rushing yards, and 53 touchdowns.
It will be interesting to note that Jalen Milroe first started off his college career playing for the Texas Longhorns football team (University of Texas at Austin). He left them and decided to join the Alabama Crimson Tide. When he was with them during his freshman and sophomore seasons, he played second fiddle to Bryce Young (who currently plays for the Carolina Panthers).
He started to pick up pace during his junior season. Milroe has been brilliant for them so far and has already earned second-team All-SEC honors in 2023. It was the common prediction from most of the NFL analysts and pundits that Jalen Milroe would be nominating himself for the 2024 NFL Draft. However, there have been some recent updates that might prove this theory wrong.
Jalen Milroe decides to skip the 2024 NFL Draft and go back for his senior year
Jalen Milroe had a top-notch performance in 2023 and had an 11-1 record in the 12 games he featured in. He recorded 3,186 passing yards and 35 touchdowns. Given these numbers, many expected him to be a part of the 2024 NFL Draft. However, Milroe has confirmed that he will not be taking part in the 2024 NFL Draft.
This seems like a sensible decision, as there are already a lot of quality quarterbacks in the upcoming draft. He is currently predicted to be a second-round or third-round pick. If he wants to become a top-ten pick in the first round, he should be going back for his senior year.

It might also be possible that Jalen Milroe is going back to attend his senior year because he wants to win the Heisman Trophy. He has expressed his desire to win the award after winning a game and was caught on camera saying, “Give me that Heisman. Give me that motherf–ker.”
This year, Jalen Milroe finished sixth on the list for the coveted Heisman Trophy. Moreover, he will also not be present for the ceremony, which will be held in New York. It looks like he is aiming to make some corrections for the next season and win it at last.
