It is revealed that, along with Grant, at least four other women were also a part of the investigation. Vince McMahon paid $17 million in hush payments to several women
According to the Wall Street Journal, Mr. McMahon allegedly paid many hush payments to four women in exchange for their silence. They all signed the agreements in return for their silence on s*xual misconduct charges. The payments, which cover at least 16 years, include a $7.5 million settlement with a former professional wrestler. McMahon was accused of pushing her into oral s*x.
In another case, McMahon agreed to pay around $1 million in 2008. The payments were made to settle charges made by an ex-WWE contractor accusing him of s*xual harassment at work. He also paid another million dollars to silence a former manager who had made various charges against him. McMahon also allegedly paid hush money of $3 million to a former paralegal with whom he had an affair.
When the news came about these hush payments in 2022, McMahon promptly resigned from all of his WWE roles. He returned later and became WWE’s Executive Chairman following the TKO merger. With his new lawsuit, Vince has once again harmed both his reputation and the Stamford-based promotion.
