Recently a photo of Tyson Fury and Alex Pereira sparked controversy regarding Fury’s height. Fury is billed at 6 ft 9 in while ‘Poatan’ is a light heavyweight with a height of 6 ft 4 in but in the picture, they almost look the same. Although, Fury looks a bit taller than Perriera but not as tall as he claims to be.
Apart from this, when Tyson Fury was standing with former Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya (6 ft 4 in), he looked 1-2 inches taller than Izzy. According to the evidence, it seems like Tyson Fury is definitely not 6 feet 9 inches tall. Furthermore, Izzy believes that his brother Francis will make history with this match.
In terms of weight, in his third fight against Deontay Wilder, he weighed in at 277 lbs. Furthermore, when he fought Wilder, who is billed at 6 ft 7 in, he looked around the same height as ‘The Bronze Bomber’.
Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou’s height difference
In a conversation with TNT Sports, Francis Ngannou said that Tyson Fury does not look 6 feet 9 inches. “It does not look like a five-inch difference, right?” said ‘The Predator’. Francis Ngannou is 6 feet 4 inches tall, but when he stands near Fury, he does not look five inches short.
“They say I’m about 6ft 4in, I would say you are 6ft 5in,” said Francis. On the other hand, Tyson Fury believes that Francis is 6ft 2in tall.
Even if the height difference is debatable, Tyson Fury definitely has the weight advantage coming into this fight. In his most recent fight against Derek Chisora, Fury was around 268 lbs, which is a lot more than the weight of Ngannou. Francis Ngannou’s most recent fight was against Ciryl Gane, where his weight was 257 lbs.
Tyson is definitely a little taller than Francis, and he will definitely use his height and weight to tire him out. Do you think Tyson Fury lied about his height? Let us know in the comments below.
