Since being betrayed by her former friend Shayna Baszler, Ronda Rousey has been making headlines as speculations about her WWE departure started circulating. It was reported that her SummerSlam 2023 match against Shayna would be the end of her run with Triple H’s company.
Now that the Baddest Woman on the Planet has lost her SummerSlam match against her former partner, the speculation about her WWE exit has peaked. As far as the recent reports are concerned, it seems that her days at the Stamford-based promotion are about to end, as Ronda Rousey is reportedly done with WWE.
According to Wrestling News, the former tag-team champion will leave WWE after the August 7 episode of Monday Night RAW. The report added that her return date is not known yet. However, looking at the entire situation, it seems that a WWE return for Ronda would never really happen, as she could be on her way out of the Stamford-based promotion forever.
It must be noted that alongside the reports of Ronda’s potential departure from WWE, it has also been reported that the Baddest Woman on the Planet can return to the UFC. These reports have resulted in excitement for most MMA fans, but some of them think that Ronda isn’t good enough to return to the octagon cage at this stage of her career.
Every championship Ronda Rousey has won in WWE
Even if Ronda’s WWE career has come to an end at SummerSlam, there’s no doubt that she has ended it as one of the most highly accomplished female stars in the promotion’s history. After signing with the company back in 2018, the Baddest Women on the Planet never looked back and won numerous titles.
Rousey won her first championship in the Stamford-based promotion on August 19, 2018, at SummerSlam. At the event, she defeated Alexa Bliss in dominating fashion to win the Raw women’s championship, which lasted for 231 days. Rowdy’s reign ended during the main event of WrestleMania 35, as Becky Lynch defeated Ronda and Charlotte Flair in a spectacular triple-threat match.
Her second championship reign in WWE was with the SmackDown Women’s title. Ronda won the title on May 8, 2022, at WrestleMania Backlash by defeating Charlotte. However, this title reign wasn’t too long, as she lost her title at MITB after a successful cash-in by Liv Morgan.
After this loss, Ronda entered the title picture once again and eventually won it back from Morgan at Extreme Rules on October 8, 2022. This was Rowdy’s second reign with the SmackDown women’s title, but it also lasted a short period, as she lost the title after 88 days in an embarrassing way to Charlotte Flair.
Ronda’s fourth and last championship reign in WWE was with the Women’s tag titles, as she won them alongside Shayna Baszler, in a fatal four-way tag team match on RAW’s May 29 episode. It was a great run, but it ended surprisingly at MITB when Rowdy was betrayed by her own partner. This betrayal eventually became the reason for the end of Ronda’s most recent reign at the Triple-H-led promotion.
