The Las Vegas Raiders have recently gained the most limelight as the team’s owner fired HC Josh McDaniels. Now, the team’s defensive end Maxx Crosby has been making headlines. Born in August 1997, Crosby has been an important part of the team ever since his NFL debut. However, along with a good reputation, the star player has bagged a good amount of money as well.
Maxx Crosby entered the NFL in 2019 with the Raiders. The team drafted him as their 106th pick in the 4th round of the NFL draft that year. Crosby signed his rookie contract worth $3.3 million with the team for 4 years.

Considering his exceptional performance, the Raiders decided to keep him with them. The team signed a contract extension with the defensive end for 4 years in 2022. It was a huge $94 million contract that came with a signing bonus of $13 million. The contract also had $53 million guaranteed and offered Maxx Crosby an average yearly salary of $23.5 million.
Throughout his 5-year career in the NFL, Crosby has earned over $38 million. With all his earnings till now, he holds a net worth of $7 million. The 255 lb star is expected to make around $1 billion after being with the team till 2026. For now, Maxx Crosby has been giving his best to lead his team to the Super Bowl.
Maxx Crosby clears the air about the beef between Josh McDaniels and Antonio Pierce
There have been several rumors after Mark Davis fired HC Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler. The most popular one among them was about a dispute between the former HC and Antonio Pierce. However, the team’s defensive end Maxx Crosby decided to come forward and make the whole situation clear.
It was NFL reporter Jay Glazer who came up with the story of the dispute. He reported that a fight between McDaniels and Pierce led to the firing of the former HC. However, Maxx Crosby has claimed that the whole theory is fake. Recently, the Michigan-born star appeared on the podcast ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’. There, he made it clear that no fight took place between the former coach and the interim coach.
“I don’t know where that came from or where he heard that, but McDaniels didn’t stand up and say, ‘You can’t talk about the Patriots.’ That’s just false… Coach McDaniels called us in, and he wanted to do it. So it went the way it went,” he said.
It seems like the change in coach really led to a change in fortune for the Raiders. The team won their first game, under Pierce and Champ Kelly, against the Giants by 30-6. After the game, Maxx Crosby even praised the interim HC. Now, the team must be all pumped up once again as they are back to winning ways. It’ll be interesting to see whether the new coach and GM can help the team win more games or not.
