On September 12, 2023, the world witnessed the two entertainment giants, WWE and UFC, merging into TKO Group Holdings. However, now that the merger has been completed, it remains to be seen what changes will be introduced moving forward.
Meanwhile, it seems that the merging of the Stamford-based promotion and the Dana White-led promotion has made fans worried. They have been speculating that the merger might lead to increased WWE pay-per-view prices in addition to the existing Peacock and WWE Network subscriptions.
One account on ‘X’ captioned a post as “Endeavour when they announce $80 WWE PPVs on top of the peacock/WWE Network subscription” Which has made WWE fans anxious. Many reacted differently to the post, and some of the fans are of the opinion that illegal streams will rule again if that happens. One fan commented, “Them illegal streams are going to hit“.

Illegal streaming gonna be taking off again if that happens. I don’t think I’d pay more than $5 for many of the PLEs they run right now.

The post created havoc and several fans commented on the post. In addition to saying that illegal streaming sites would come back, many fans stated that if the prices increased, they would be canceling Peacock’s subscription.
Currently, WWE subscription costs $9.99 a month. This includes 24/7 programming and all PPV events. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Peacock recently increased its prices. An ad-based Premium subscription will now cost $5.99, while a Premium Plus subscription will cost $11.99. However, no extra cost will be added for WWE PPV events.
Since the much-awaited unification has been recently finalized, nothing can be said as of now. Only time will tell if there will be any changes or if there will be additional charges for watching fan-favorite PPVs. It is also to be seen how the world would react to such a measure.
What are the upcoming WWE PPV events?

After fans are all satisfied this year, WWE will come with the Royal Rumble 2024 in January. However, the event that all WWE fans will be excited about is WrestleMania 40. The event is slated for April 6 and 7, 2024.
With the merger taking place and so many PLE events planned, it is to be seen if the Stamford-based promotion will make any decisions about increasing prices moving forward. Whatever the case, fans would wait eagerly for the upcoming events to kick off.
