SUMMARY
- Stefanos Tsitsipas is a well-known tennis player.
- He has a younger brother, Petros, who also plays tennis.
Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of the most popular players on the tennis circuit at the moment. Since his debut, the Greek star has left his mark on the courts. Stefanos hails from a family of athletes, and hence it is not surprising that his younger brother, Petros Tsitsipas, is also a rising tennis star.
The Tsitsipas brothers are very close, and their relationship reflects that strong fraternal bond. They grew up playing tennis together and had a shared dream—to play together at the elite level one day. Stefanos has gone on to achieve a great many things in his career, but Petros is just getting started.
Petros is the younger of the two, but he has not quite reached the level his older brother plays at. So far, Stefanos has made it to two Grand Slam finals: the Australian Open in 2023 and the French Open in 2021. He lost both matches, but Stefanos proved his mettle.
Stefanos is a very consistent player and an ever-present figure in the top 10. Petros, on the other hand, has finally broken into the top 100 in the doubles ranking this year.
Petros recalled how he grew up playing with his brother. “I was quite jealous of him because he got to play tennis with my parents and I was just outside of the court watching. He was way better than me and then my goal was always to catch up with him one day,” he said (via ATP Tour).
The two brothers often play doubles together and even represented Greece at the 2024 United Cup. They also won their first doubles title together in Antwerp last year. Stefanos Tsitsipas shares a lovely bond with his parents and Petros. However, Petros is not his only brother.
How many siblings does Stefanos Tsitsipas have?
The Tsitsipas family is a closely-knit family of six members. Their parents, Apostolos Tsitsipas and Julia Salnikova, were both tennis players. Given their rich family ancestry, all the Tsitsipas children are also athletes.
Besides Petros, Stefanos has another brother named Pavlos and a sister, Elisavet, the youngest of them all. Much like his brothers before him, Pavlos is also a tennis player, following in their shoes. Pavlos currently plays at the ITF level and hopes to break into the ATP soon.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and his brother Petros have the opportunity to go down in history as a doubles team. While they have yet to win a major together, they have the potential for it.
