For all the players who find Steam launcher more convenient than Battle.Net, it’s time to dive into the game through your preferred platform. If you’re considering playing on the amazing Steam Deck, get ready to be blown away.
Microsoft has taken a big step forward in completing its acquisition of Activision Blizzard. In order to address the concerns raised by the CMA back in April, Microsoft has kindly decided to sell the streaming rights for Activision’s games exclusively to Ubisoft, but this is just for players in the UK. It’s fantastic to see Microsoft taking these measures to ensure a smooth transition and a positive gaming experience for everyone involved.

Adam Fletcher, the Global Community Development Director of the game, has recently taken to Twitter to share some exciting news. He has officially confirmed that the game will be available on Steam Deck starting next Tuesday. However, there is a small downside – cross-platform ownership won’t be possible. Diablo 4 will receive a Steam Deck Verification upon its arrival on the platform, ensuring that it seamlessly runs on the handheld gaming device without any problems or glitches.

Fletcher was helpful in addressing a player’s query regarding repurchasing the game. He clarified that separate companies operate Steam and other storefronts, thus requiring a separate purchase for each platform. Blizzard is staying true to its goal of releasing new seasons of Diablo 4 every quarter. Season 2 is set to begin on October 17, coinciding with the end of the game’s first season. This means there won’t be any downtime between the exciting rollouts of new seasons.
