WWE Superstar Jey Uso was previously a part of Friday Night SmackDown. However, after facing betrayal from his twin brother Jimmy Uso at SummerSlam 2023 he decided to call it a quit. He then left WWE. However, two weeks later he came back to the promotion, but as a member of the RAW roster.
At WWE Payback 2023, The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes announced the return of Jey Uso as a new member of Monday Night RAW. Following that, Jey has been seen on two consecutive episodes of WWE RAW.
With that, now it seems that the backstage reaction to his singles run on the red brand has come into the spotlight. As per reports, WWE officials are ‘extremely happy’ with how fans have been reacting to his presence on RAW. In fact, they are also happy that they believe in him.

Meanwhile, it seems that WWE Superstars have shown mixed responses to Jey’s presence on Monday nights. The Judgment Day and Sami Zayn are glad by the presence of Jey. On the other hand, WWE superstars such as Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle aren’t happy. However, now that Jey is a part of the Red brand, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for him.
Is Jey Uso fighting Drew McIntyre on WWE RAW next week?
On Monday Night RAW this week, Jey and Kevin Owens faced Damian Priest and Finn Balor of The Judgment Day in a tag team match, which the latter team won. However, his first singles match on RAW is yet to come. With that, the wait might be shorter since Jey might face Drew McIntyre in a one-on-one match next week.
This Monday, after his match, Jey was seen backstage. He then got face-to-face with McIntyre. The latter expressed a lack of trust towards Jey and mentioned that Uso lacks the ability to stand on his grounds. This might be because of McIntyre’s past issues with The Bloodline, which Jey was previously a part of.

An irritated Jey then asked McIntyre to face him next week inside the ring. McIntyre then gladly accepted the challenge. However, the match hasn’t been made official by the Stamford-based promotion yet.
Now, it is to be seen if the match between Jey and Drew will indeed take place next week. Also, fans would wait with high expectations to see how Jey would perform on his first singles match in the red brand.
