Zach’s mother, Julia, a retired mechanical engineer and former basketball player and an important part of his storied college career is of Chinese descent. On the other hand, his dad, Glen who is currently the assistant coach for a baseball youth league is white.
After a stellar high school career at Leaside High School, Edey played for Toronto’s Northern Kings AAU program and then joined the IMG Academy in Florida.
