Tyler Herro is a very important piece of the Miami Heat roster. They rely on the 2022 Most Improved Player’s scoring and shooting capacity to balance out the team’s defensive prowess. Herro has proven himself as an elite three-point shooter as well. Unfortunately, the Heat will have to continue their post-season run without their star player due to broken fingers.
The Milwaukee Bucks lost Giannis Antetokounmpo during the first quarter after he endured a scary fall. Shortly after that, Tyler Herro got injured trying to grab a loose ball. Herro tried to dive to grab the ball but landed awkwardly on his right hand. After the incident took place, the announcers revealed that Herro ran straight to the locker room. But the Heat staff did not allow him to exit the game.

Tyler Herro continued to play throughout the ongoing possession but was visibly in pain. While he stood near the sideline expecting to be substituted, the ball was passed to him. Herro attempted to shoot a three-pointer that nearly went in as well. Eventually, Tyler was removed from the game and he ran straight into the locker room. The Heat ruled him out at halftime.
Will Giannis Antetokounmpo help the Milwaukee Bucks to tie the series in Tyler Herro’s absence?
Following the Heat’s Game 1 victory against the Bucks, head coach Erik Spoelstra said that Tyler Herro will miss Game 2. Later, Chris Haynes revealed that the point guard will miss four to six weeks of play due to broken fingers in his right hand. Even though the Heat won the game without Herro, he is still a very important piece on the roster. He averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game during the regular season.

Miami took advantage of Giannis’ absence throughout the remaining three-quarters of the game. The former 2x MVP not only leads the team in scoring but provides himself as an anchor on defense. However, Antetokounmpo’s injury is not as severe as Herro’s turned out the be. The Greek Freak suffers from a lower back contusion, but with ample rest, he will be able to join the Bucks on Wednesday.

The Bucks revealed that Giannis’ reports are all clear but they will wait overnight and see how he manages to move about the next day. Even if Antetokounmpo returns, he will most likely tone it down a notch rather than being his usual self on the court. Miami could face some trouble on Wednesday but they have never backed down from a fight. Chances are the Bucks will be to tie the series if Giannis returns.
