NBA fans are happy to hear reports that Bam Adebayo is a preferred candidate over Jaren Jackson Jr. for Team USA. As some of us might be aware, Team USA will be competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics and will be looking to avoid the mistakes they made in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Most of us can remember that Team USA was eliminated in their semi-final matchup against Team Germany. Moreover, they weren’t even able to win their third-place matchup against Team Canada and went home after securing 4th place. While 4th place out of 32 qualifying countries isn’t bad at all, the standards that these star-studded rosters have set mean that the only options are victory or failure.
There might have been several reasons as to why Team USA didn’t manage to win the FIBA World Cup. Many fans believe that upgrading Jaren Jackson Jr. for the Heat star might be what the team needs to win the gold medal in the Olympics next year. That said, let us take a closer look and find out more.
Is Bam Adebayo a better fit for Team USA compared to Jaren Jackson Jr.?
One of the largest points of criticism against the most recent Team USA roster was the fact that it was filled with young and upcoming stars as opposed to certified and experienced stars. After all, players like Bam, LeBron, and Steph would have definitely given Team USA a better chance to win the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Although there might have been many reasons for the failures of Team USA, the underwhelming performances from Jaren Jackson Jr. have been given a lot of focus. The Memphis Grizzlies star didn’t have any good offensive performance for Team USA. Despite his size and presence, JJJ wasn’t even able to average 3 rebounds.
Since Team USA most certainly wants to win the 2024 Paris Olympics, reports have already emerged revealing that Bam Adebayo is a strong candidate for the big man spot on next year’s Team USA roster. This makes sense considering that Bam has averaged 20.4 points and 9.2 rebounds throughout his career.
Some NBA fans have seen this as a sign that JJJ will not be a part of the national squad next year, “Damn they told the DPOY to pack his bags!!!”
Damn they told the DPOY to pack his bags!!! 😂😂😂😭😭

Whether it be Bam or JJJ, we hope that the Team USA squad is able to do much better in the 2024 Paris Olympics. After all, Team USA has won the gold medal for the past 4 Olympics and would undoubtedly like to hold onto their record.
