The NBA Finals are now coming to an end, as the Nuggets have solidified their position as the 2023 champs. Taking on the Miami Heat, the Nuggets have taken a 3-1 lead, as they head for Game 5 at home. After a so-what of an interesting road in the West, Denver has attracted more fans from the Finals series. Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic have done an excellent job so far, making the case for the greatest duo of all time.
The Heat just couldn’t seem to handle the Nuggets at home. Miami has a story of its own, being an eighth seed from the East. Though going up against the Nuggets is an equally tough job. Only one team has made a comeback on a 1-3 deficit in the Finals and managed to win. But a comeback from this team means holding off the Joker for three straight games, which doesn’t look like anything that could be possible.
Can Nikola Jokic finish the Finals series while averaging a triple-double?
So far into the Finals series, Jokic has been putting up around 30.8 points a game, while also averaging 13.5 rebounds and 8 assists per contest. Though for Jokic to average a triple-double would mean an 18-assist game in Game 5.
Jamal Murray believes that Jokic can be even more dominant than he is already. “I think we haven’t seen a side of Jokic that we’re going to see. He can be just pure dominance, the whole game, even more than he has been,” said Murray. Jamal, who has been a primary scorer of the Nuggets has done his job greatly as well.
“I think there’s more to come, actually, from [Jokic]… I think we haven’t seen a side of [Jokic] that we’re going to see. He can be just pure dominance, the whole game, even more than he has been.”

Though looking at Jokic, who has already been putting up MVP-like numbers, better than any of his own MVP seasons, to think that he can bring more dominance in each contest, is something to be worried about as a Heat fan. T
he possible chances of Miami making a comeback wouldn’t stand against the Nuggets in Game 5. Players around Jokic and Murray have done a fabulous job as well. Aaron Gordan, Michael Porter Jr., and Bruce Brown have shown their potential during these Finals series.
Jokic and company will definitely look to get the job done at home in Game 5. This commanding victory over the Heat would put their playoff record at 16-4, having lost a total of three games in the West. It will be interesting to see how the Heat plans to make a comeback to avoid a gentleman sweep on the road, as Game 5 is scheduled for Monday.
